4
The current project deals with the development of a diagnostic tool for
intestinal cancer detection.
This is a multi-disciplinary project based on medical, electronics, sensors,
signal processing, diagnostic software and wireless communications.
The project client is the Center for the Advanced Medical Technologies at
Sheba Medical Center, headed by prof. Arie Orenstein.
Part A - Design and construction of the electrical circuit.
Part B - Design and construction of diagnostic algorithms and system
interfaces.
Background
Objectives
The main goal of the project is constructing a full system
interface (GUI, cloud, web, android application) and
develop signal processing algorithms for spectral analysis
of intestinal tissue optical refunds, which allow the
identification and diagnosis of pathological tissues.
Methods
Building an Android application that receives data from a capsule and
forward it to a cloud using wireless platforms.
Create database in suitable cloud.
Write signal processing algorithms for detecting pathologic tissues.
Share results with the therapist via web user friendly GUI.
